Brother Thomas Bezanson, an American citizen, was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1929. He was a Benedictine monk at Weston Priory in Vermont for 25 years and was the artist-in-residence with the Benedictine Sisters of Erie, Pennsylvania from 1985 until his death in 2007. Brother Thomas works masterfully with porcelain and created an astounding range of glazes and forms. The Gallery displays a wide selection of Brother Thomas' pottery, from tea bowls to large platters and elegant vases. His work is found in over 80 national and international public collections and in numerous private collections in the US and abroad.
