The Construction of Nostalgia: Works by Robert Eshoo
23 January through 8 March 2010

Robert Eshoo attended Syracuse University and continued his studies at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He has taught and exhibited in the New England area throughout his career. His earlier work, which examined the plight of the Sioux Indians, were watercolors in the trompe l'oeil ("fool the eye") tradition. New themes are now transformed by the use of real objects - worn wooden shapes, faded colored paper, broken objects, and feathers. His work is characterized by a wonderful sense of composition, beauty and sensitivity.
