| Shigeru Matsuzaki was born and educated in Japan but currently resides in Barcelona. His experience as a foreigner has informed the unusual and personal theatrics of his depicted world. His painstaking technique of color acrylic drawing and black ink overlay combined with his recurrent cast of peculiar characters make each work by Matsuzaki a unique piece of art in a strong and recognizable body of work. His work is represented in Museums in Japan, New York, and New England with a recent acquisition and exhibition at the Tikotin Museum in Haifa, Israel. |
