Samuel Bak Retrospektive: 1946-1997 is the catalogue for an exhibition at the Panorama Museum, Bad Frankenhausen Germany. The exhibition featured early drawings by Bak from the Vilna Ghetto, and a collection of paintings covering many of the themes for which Bak is known. Texts include a preface by Museum Director Gerd Lindner, an interpretive essay by Lawrence L. Langer entitled "The Holocaust Theme in Paintings by Samuel Bak," and a piece by the artist himself entitled "A Self-Portrait in Words." In both German and English. |
