Welsh born potter Phil Rogers lives on Cefn Faes Farm, where he has converted the stone cow house into his studio and built kilns in the old stables. He works with stoneware and divides his work between three different kilns. His works are a wonderful combination of British, Korean and Japanese techniques and traditions. Phil has done extensive traveling and lecturing on pottery, kiln-building, ash and salt glazing and has numerous books to his credit. His work is well represented in public collections in the United Kingdom and abroad, including a recent acquisition at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Cleveland Art Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

March 18, 2006 was the public opening for the exhibition A Single Form: Jugs by Phil Rogers. This exhibition represents a fabulous collection of jugs which provide an opportunity to discover the depth of Phil's style and aesthetic through focusing on the single form. After the opening of his exhibition at the Gallery, Phil traveled to Mashiko, Japan to work with the Japanese potter Ken Matsuzaki. Additionally, the Gallery is in the midst of preparing a publication on the life and approach of Phil Rogers which will be released in early 2007. Phil's next exhibition will open at the Gallery on 6 January 2007.

A selection of 100 works recently arrived in preparation for that exhibition.
