| Born in a small town outside Venice, Pietro Spica has a long and colorful history of learning, traveling, living and exhibiting. Among his various destinations have been Spain, Switzerland, France, Afghanistan, India, Nepal, Greece, Morocco, Egypt, Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Brazil, Haiti, San Francisco, and Boston. He now resides in Amherst, Massachusetts. The amorphous shapes and striking colors of his acrylic and oil paintings are used to beautiful effect. He has also combined additional watercolor skills and a love of children in a series of illustrations for children's books. |
