Beginning with a Bachelor's degree in French Literature and International Relations from Hamilton College in New York, King later studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. King cast his thoughtful eye on a wide range of subjects and places and created photographs with rare honesty and grace. Always inspired by the natural world, he spent his life telling stories through both words and photographs. His work has been featured in countless books, including those devoted to poetry and children’s stories. King’s photographs are included in numerous public collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
