Judith Stoddard King

Represented by Pucker Gallery since 2004

BORN: 1934 in Worcester, Massachusetts
RESIDES: Kennebunkport, Maine, and Southborough, Massachusetts

Judith Stoddard King attended the Bancroft School in Worcester, Massachusetts, and graduated from Hollins University in Virginia with a degree in Art History. While King studied decoupage at the Hiram Manning studio in Boston in the 1960s, she soon thereafter switched to constructing collages, designing posters and cards using cut paper. King's images are colorful, meticulous, and evocative of the spirit of the places they represent. The attention to detail in her art evokes great elegance, restraint, and beauty. King is a Trustee of the Worcester Art Museum.
