DIED: 2008 in Paris, France

Fance Franck was born in Alabama and raised in Texas, but moved to France to pursue an advanced degree in French literature, philosophy, and aesthetics at the Sorbonne. Franck worked solely in porcelain and utilized the wonderful and delicate qualities inherent in that clay body. Along with numerous honors for her work in porcelain and red glazes, works by Franck are included in permanent collections of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
